what if Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho attends church this Sunday?

I have been raring to blog this thought but kept on postponing it but anyway here is my answer:

Two of the most controversial personalities in my church? A starlet w and a doctor who records his sexcapades. A sex scandal that rocked the Philippines that we momentarily forgot about the Ah1n1 virus and the con-ass. What if they were in my church? What would be the possibility that it would happen? Two people who committed a fatal mistake that might jeopardize their career and their life who are asking for a second chance in life.

Well, Katrina and Hayden attends our church every single week.

Not the Katrina and the Hayden you see on the news but US. Yes you and me. Normal people who are struggling with man’s main problem – Sin. We are in our own way Katrinas and Haydens. People who made mistakes and people who have sinned, wanting a second chance in life.

I am a sinner. I struggled with sin. Sometimes I still do. The devil is still as busy since the creation of the world, tempting men to sin.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  Romans 3:23

Katrina, Hayden, Dennis, Thammie, Chinkee, Larry, Joey, Johnny, Juan, Maria, the Pope – we all have sinned. We are all the same – Sinners all doomed to eternal damnation

For the wages of sin is death, – Romans 6:23.

So how do we get out of this mess that we are in? Is there any solution to this problem? Great thing is that Rom 6:23 did not end there. It says

but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23

God loves us so much that He has given us a gift – it is called eternal life found in Jesus alone. This is the reason why I preach, blog, talk, and engage with people. So that they may know the hope that I have – JESUS.

Now can the word sinners and Jesus be put together in one sentence.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

Jesus is the answer. Katrina needs Jesus. Hayden needs Jesus. I need Jesus.

So what will I say to Katrina and Hayden

1. Repent of all known sin.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  1John 1:9

2. Make Jesus your master

That if you confess with your mouth,  “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God —  John 1:12

3. Read the Bible.

4. Attend a church that loves and preaches Jesus.
