Tell me what to do?

Was reading Seth’s blog yesterday and a paragraph in his blog hit me like a Pentecostal televangelist would lay his hand on a poor guy and cast the demon of whatever out of him and he lays on the floor quivering. Seth Godin writes:

“People are just begging to be told what to do. There are a lot of reasons for this, but I think the biggest one is: “If you tell me what to do, the responsibility for the outcome is yours, not mine. I’m safe.”

If you have been hired to do the job – stop telling your boss what you need to do. The reason you were hired is because you have to do what is needed of you to do.
