Promoted too soon

Every time we promote a leader we need to be sure he/she has been faithful in the small things because once we’ve promoted someone or empowered someone it is hard to unempower that person.

Luke 16:10 ¶      “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

Some suggestions before empowering someone to leadership roles.

1. Find people who have led smaller groups. Do they have good interpersonal skills. Are they effective in leading small groups? If not then they might be not yet ripe in leading bigger groups.

2. Is anyone following them? A leader who has no followers is just taking a stroll.

3. Who is following them? Are the people following them the ones youre hoping to attract to a particular ministry?
