I was listening to Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame Speech. He was classic Michael Jordan. The competitor, the winner. Listening to his speech you knew that Michael Jordan’s life sentence is “WINNING IS EVERYTHING” – none of the I thank my team, it was a speech about the Jordainaire. It was all about Jordan. His speech did disappoint me. Basketball is never a one man show. Life is never a one man show. Watch his speech:
On the other hand when David Robinson came up to talk – you could really see the difference between the two. Robinson is a winner no doubt. He loves winning, he loves to play in the championship but for Robinson winning wasn’t everything. His identity was not in basketball because he knew one day he won’t be able to play the game like how he did it before. or David Robinson’s – life is about faith in God, his family legacy, his team. I am not a basketball fan.. but i do admire Mr Robinson here for his faith – - in God, his family, the people around him.. it’s really something worth emulating..
