Today was IMPARTATION DAY. More than the messages it was the impartation of the Spirit we got from prayer movement leaders and shakers of nations.

We kicked off our first session with Pastor Ed Silvoso, author of widely read books on National Transformation. Our group had a chance to get a picture with him since we stayed in the same hotel.

Pastor Dick Eastman then shared about how the prayer initiatives around the world has literally transformed nations. The stats and the stories blew me away. Prayer is really a catalyst for change and world missions. When churches start praying God starts moving. That is why Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” 

I attended the track of Transforming the Marketplace and heard Ed Silvoso and his team share their heart and strategies on reaching out to the marketplace. While they were sharing,  my heart was beating fast as if I was in caffeine overload and I knew the Spirit was stirring something in my heart for our local church in San Juan to do something about mobilizing our marketplace people to pray and disciple the businessmen and women and transform our city.

Pastor King Flores of the Philippines shared how the city of Paranaque was transformed through prayer evangelism and discipleship.

Pastor Jerome Ocampo, founder of JREV and fellow Filipino pastor shared in the night’s plenary session about the destiny of this generation. There is something God is doing in our generation. We are called to be world changers. Satan wants this generation dead because he is afraid of what this generation can do when it finds God and finds life in God.

One of the most powerful thing Pastor Jerome Ocampo did was to ask the older generation to pray and ask for forgiveness and the young generation also asking for forgiveness and that the Spirit would unite both generations to work together for transformation.

Was also glad to be with some of our Victory pastors.  A new wave of prayer and glory is coming to Manila. I think all of us received something today.

Also got a chance to talk to Ms. Sarah Lee of South Korea who helped start the  1984 prayer movement that gave birth to the prayer movements we have now. I have hundred more pictures to share and would just blog about more of it tomorrow.

We start day 2 with a blast. Though still catching up with my sleep since day 1, the plenary sessions and tracks (workshops) were life changing.

Plenary Session this morning had Brian Mills share about the Global Trends happening in our midst and how we should respond as a church. Some of his striking statements are:

There is an uptrend of older people because of the trend worldwide of not encouraging couple to have children. We have to rethink our strategies on reaching the older generation.

The global problems we have from natural calamities and man made calamities should make us think as a church on how we need to respond. The church must be ready when things like these happen.

We also prayed for Egypt where God is doing a great work and revival. Pastor Bennie Mostert shared how a sweep of revival fire has come down upon Egypt. It made me realized that there is nothing impossible with God. A new wave is literally coming in the nations.

In the afternoon  I attended the track of George Otis Jr on Lessons and Principles of Social Transformation and Spiritual Revival through Prayer. Did not finish it though since some of our team members were there to attend. We plan to exchange stories after the event. I decided to go the the hall for YOUTH PRAYER NETWORKS AND MOVEMENTS. As I enter the hall, I already sense such a powerful presence of the Holy Spirit and I just can’t leave the room.

We then had a break and I was scheduled to teach with some fellow youth leaders around the world. It was indeed a great privilege and honor to share the pulpit with people transforming the nations. I was really pumped up and nervous and just preached away what I believe the Holy Spirit wants to say to my generation.

Steve Chua of the United States and president of REGENERATION shared about the fatherlessness and how the love of the Father is enough for this generation. The time of ministry was awesome as people released forgiveness to the older generation and received healing from the heavenly Father.

I shared about my experience of how God had to break me from running a successful youth program and then failing in ministry which was actually a turning point in my life. The gospel has liberated me from performing for others and for God. I asked the people to repent of their pride and come broken before God. It was tough speaking with an interpreter but I would forever cherished the experience.

Pastor Lim of Korea, the dancing pastor, preached on how we can find our self esteem in Christ alone and how God is regenerating His people to do His work.

Isaac Lee from Malaysia was phenomenal as he shared about the need for our generation to have conviction and not just information.

Prophet Cindy Jacob closed the meeting by asking the Holy Spirit to impart His power to this generation.

Once again thank you to Pastor Jerome Ocampo, founder of JREV, for giving me an opportunity to share my heart. I am really inspired to think more global today as I see countries and nations being changed by the gospel through prayer.

It’s been quite a day and a half for me today. I am now in Indonesia attending the largest prayer gathering in the world since 1984 Seoul Korea’s prayer movement happened. So in a way I am a part of history.

We booked our flight to Jakarta Indonesia and departed Manila at 845pm. We landed in Indonesia before 12mn (Manila time) but since the time here is minus one hour we landed at around 11pm (Indonesia time)

I was really glad to see some volunteers working round the clock in Jakarta airport. So when we landed, we were escorted to the registration table of WPA2012. I would really like to honor the Indonesian church for going beyond our expectations. There were free water, coffee and cookies for the delegates as we wait for our bus that would transport us to our hotel which was 2 hours away from the airport. To make the long story short, we were able to settle at our rooms at 5am. We haven’t slept so we woke up really late.

Tonight’s event brought me back to my EN2010 World Conference seeing 60+ nations in one place. The session for tonight was also something I pray that would happen to our churches in the Philippines.

I tried taking down notes but instead I end up taking shots of what was happening. I think for national transformation to happen, we need to unite as one church the same way the churches in Indonesia united for the gospel.

The body of Christ united: The Evangelical Alliance of Indonesia, Indonesia Charismatic Movement, Catholic Bishops of Indonesia coming together.

Pastor Bambang Widjaja said: “Prayer starts with humility.” We often don’t pray because we don’t consider ourselves to be helpless.

Grace-driven effort is violent. It is aggressive. The person who understands the gospel understands that, as a new creation, his spiritual nature is in opposition to sin now, and he seeks not just to weaken sin in his life but to outright destroy it. Out of love for Jesus, he wants sin starved to death, and he will hunt and pursue the death of every sin in his heart until he has achieved success.

This is a very different pursuit than simply wanting to be good. It is the result of having transferred one’s affections to Jesus. When God’s love takes hold of us, it powerfully pushes out our own love for other gods and frees our love to flow back to him in true worship. And when we love God, we obey him. The moralist doesn’t operate that way. While true obedience is a result of love, moralistic legalism assumes it works the other way around, that love results from obedience.
