Diet Coke

Have you ever noticed overweight people in restaurants? They order a humongous serving of beef, pork and sweets and would usually end the order by saying “and a diet coke please.”

Makes me laugh all the time. I do the same thing. I lie to myself. I tell myself eat all you want at least diet coke is there to help you lose those fats!!!!

Reminds me of how we sometimes go back to our old ways of insecurity, lust, pride and sin but we add a little “diet Bible reading, diet prayer and a diet church attendance.”

1Sam. 15:22  ¶      But Samuel replied:  “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
