Cute people can’t pray

If you are still conscious with how you look, and how you sound when you pray then don’t expect your prayers to be as powerful. I am reminded of Hannah who was praying for a son and was weeping so loud that Eli thought she was drunk.

Pray with intensity. Pray with passion. Pray as if it is your last prayer.

Cuteness won’t get your prayers anywhere. Don’t mind your mascara or makeup. Weep if need be even if it weeping would make you look crazy.

And men – pray hard. Don’t feel like prayer is for women only. Tough men pray. Tough men gets on their knees and intercedes for his marriage, family, country and church.

Stop being cute and get real… let’s pray!
