Today was a first for Victory Greenhills. We had our Communications ministry head Carlo Ople proposed to his girlfriend of 9 years – Mich Orosa in our 5pm service. Here is how it all happened.
Carlo did our announcement today helping our members run through our newly launched website. Here is Carlo explaining how you can enjoy our http://www.victorygreenhills.org/ website.
After that he made a call for people who are into writing, creative stuff and video editing to join our ministry. He then pointed the people to watch a sample video. And here was the video
Carlo then came out from backstage with his coat on and made one of the most God-glorifying proposal I have ever heard. Short but sweet.
It sounded something like this.
Mich we have been together for 9 years.
“At first i thought it was about me its not, then i thought it was all about Mich its not. Now i know its all about God”
Carlo then proceeded to where Mich was. The whole church stood as witness as cameras and cellphones were focused on Carlo and Mich as he continues his proposal speech.
What Carlo said next – I couldn’t remember. I was in tears. Carlo and Mich are two of my best friends. They are spiritual family. The crowd was cheering. Everybody was up on their feet. I thanked the Lord for giving me an opportunity to witness how God can transform people and write their love story.
Carlo and Mich’s story is one of the reasons why my pastoral job is rewarding. Congratulations to both of you!!

didnt get to see the actual proposal because i was at children’s church but i saw the video.. i broke to tears as well…it was so heartwarming. <3
